One Crafty Retiree

Will the real "Lallee" Rayward speak up!
Welcome to my first blog. To many of my family and friends I am known as "Lallee" - a name my first grandson, Alexander, bestowed upon me in 2001.
In 2006 I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and was forced to take an early retirement from a long time career as an Executive Assistant.

In 2007 my 'other half' took early retirement to take on the role of my full-time carer, and that was the beginning of the adventures of the 'Rambling Retirees'.
Our new philosophy became one that stated that "Life is too short and unpredictable to be living for tomorrow - so we shall do what we can while we can", and that is exactly what we have done since the 4th July 2007 when we both became Rambling Retirees.

Although there are some things in my life that have needed to change following that diagnosis in 2006, the one thing that has remained constant is my "addiction" to craft - particularly card-making, scrapbooking, cross-stitching, and a new found love for patchwork and quilting.

I plan to use this blog to achieve two things - a record and photographic journey of our  rambling adventures and a photographic record of my crafty creations. There may not be a daily entry in this blog but I shall certainly endeavour to keep the visitors to my blog informed and entertained on a regular basis.

Watch this space!
